Like the bike but have mechanical problems
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I purchased my Stamina Intone folding recumbent bike in March 2009 to use for rehabilitation for broken leg bones and later to use on foul weather days when exercising outdoors was not amenable. From the start, there was an intermittent noise coming from the cranks, but otherwise no problems. After 300 miles of use which was about 2 weeks of riding, the belt became frayed and split apart. I ordered and installed another belt. The intermittent noise in the cranks increasingly became worse until the pedals no longer would turn at about 700 miles of use. Now the bike sits unused because there seems to be no way of getting it repaired. Since I am an outdoor bike rider also, I ordered bearings for the cranks just in case that is the problem, but I don't know for sure. I am not a mechanic and the manufacturer had no one to recommend for repairs. The bike directions offer no specific trouble shooting assistance. Help! I do like the bike when it is working.

Great exercise bike
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I really didn't think that this bike was going to be sturdy enough to work out on. I was so wrong this is a great bike, lite weight yet sturdy. I am using it every other day for about 35 minutes on level 4. I have already lost 7 lbs. I told my sister about it and she is getting one too! Very easy to assemble... you won't believe how small it is great for any space.

Good Beginners Bike.
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Okay, so I tried the bike today.

Installation... Took under 30 minutes using my own wrench the one it comes with is cheap and hard to use.

Build...The bike is solid and doesn't rock when riding. It's not as good as some Schwinns I've tried and it can't read heart rate to monitor calories burned. The monitor is the cheapest part of this bike. It is non illuminated and as I said doesn't read heart rate, thus is only a rough estimate. Mine was off by 35% compared to my Polar HRM. It will vary from person to person depending on your level of fitness. Also the monitor is made of a cheap plastic and is not very attractive compared to others.

Ride...It is a little jerky and the 8th (final) setting is moderately adequate. It is not nearly as smooth as others Ive tried that cost 50-150$ more.

So, why do I give it 4 stars. It's a good beginners bike that burns calories and is fairly attractive and fairly smooth. It's biggest benefit is that it can be stored away and doesn't cost too much if biking turns out to be not your thing. It gets the job done well but it is not a superbly refined bike. I'd rate it a 7-8 on a 10 point scale. I love using it in front of the TV. It's fun and easy to put away. Buy it if you're not sure it's for you and are willing to upgrade later. Also, great for people who don't want a clunky bike laying around their home. If you want a GREAT bike look elsewhere. If you want a GOOD bike that you can eventually grow out of or store easily, this is the perfect bike.

great bike for the money
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
OK, I was a little bit concerned with the low price... BUT... it is everything I hoped for...

Easy to assemble (although I never did figure out step 2 - remove bolts from lower leg - HUH? apparently it didn't make a difference)

Quiet to use.

Easy to move.

Good solid construction.

Despite other reviews, the seat is fine (maybe they updated it).

I'm not a fitness freak, and I have the tension setting on 6 out of 8. So if you're looking for a really vigorous workout, this may NOT be the bike for you.

At half the price of other exercise bikes.. this is definitely a bargain and worth the money.

expectaions were better than that
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
The pedals are very hard to roll even when the resistance control is on the level 1. I think the product is damaged.

Foldable Bike
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This is a wonderful bike. It's smaller than most exercise bikes and yet has all anyone could want. The seat is very hard and needs a gel cushion. Most gel cushions are not the proper size so be sure to measure the seat to get a good fit.
