Worked Better Than I Thought!!

I first purchased this product back in 2008 but never did write a review for it. Not that it was a bad product, it’s just that I forgot I purchased it because it worked so well I had gotten down to the third set of hooks within about three weeks(this is without watching my diet of Mc’Donalds, burger King Popeye’s Ect. I ate the same fast food junk as usual) I ended up tossing it in my dresser and not ever thinking about it again until I came across it last night. I was a size 14 and barely got into that when I first purchased this. After the three weeks all my size 14 pants around the tummy area falls off of me. I have to steal my boyfriend’s belt to keep my pants up. Now a size 12 fits me snug like the 14 use to but 14 wont stay up on my waist anymore. I have to downsize and buy a new one in a L in stead of XL and work my way across the hooks again. I wore this from the time I got up for work which was 5am til I got home at 5pm. If you wear this everyday and you are active at work or throughout your day like me(I work in a hospital so I do more running around and less sitting at my desk) you will see the results after a while.
Since I did stop using this I have downsized my eating portions because I dont want to go back up a size, I go to the gym 3 times a wk to maintain the size I am. Because the material has a lot of rubber on the insides it may cause you to sweat a whole lot(I would come home soaked) so I suggest you run it through the washer every 2-3 days as sweat will irritate your skin and eventually cause you to rash up like nobodys business (seen my friend who bought the same item not wash hers for two wks and she broke out in clusters of rashes that only went away after agrresive treatment of Lamisil cream twice a day! So yea basically not washing your sweaty corset will give you fungus after a while so wash it often!)
Other than that mine got a little worn, it started to fold and bend and roll up once it started to get too big. BUT keep in mind Im very active at work. I lift, bend, strech, run patient charts around the building for delivery to various departments, then at home and I often forgotten I had it on and end up cleaning up the house in it. It was used vigorusly so for the price it is worth it because it didnt start to bunch and roll until it started getting slack. So if you are not as active as I am then yours will last longer. Plus I kept this thing on way beyond the reccomended time of 4 hours so I dont expect it to last very long after extensive use.
I love this product, and as for the shipping it took 5 days to come but I am not complaining because I saw the great reviews and knew that no matter what this was what I wanted. When I first got it I ordered a L and it was too small. I was able to exchange free of charge and got the right size in 3 days so returns are fast and hassle free. This is a great product overall, less risky than ordering that exspensive body magic shaper & then you have to guess what side is right & even if you guessed wrong you cannot change or get a refund. Do you really have $65-$150 to throw away like that? I suggest you get this one cause at least if it is the wrong size amazon will switch it with no questions FOR FREE at that!! I hope I helped everyone make a choice.

best money I ever spent on shape wear

I received mine today and I squeeled with delight when I heard the door bell ringing for delivery. I immediately put it on. It does take some muscle power..but no where as hard as I was expecting to get it on. It sucks, tucks and hold!!!!! My S/O was giving me the side eye..he didnt get my excitement , this was just another one of my many purchases. BUT!!! But ladies and gentlemen ***for the man who is looking to buy a gift their lady will love** when I started trying on my dresses he exclaimed “WOW!! it does take off a few inches of the waist”…I love it. I have been walking around the apartment in it and I have been sitting and standing with no problems. Well it does force you to sit upright. Which is great!..small waist and fabulous posture…I can’t complain. I am loving my squeem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

boning is not a plus

It holds things together but the boning gets uncomfortable, would have been better without it. It also folds in with the fold of my stomach, which I didn’t want, so it doesn’t get that pooch area as well as I would’ve liked. I guess if you just want to tuck things in to wear a dress this would be good, thats about it.

Maybe not magical for short people
, and when I walk, I have better posture.

I’m 5′2″ and weigh 135, so there’s not a ton of stuff around my waist, but I’m 61, and everything just seems softer and fluffier than it used to be, even though I walk and do yoga/pilates & Wii Fit regularly, so I read the reviews and finally decided to give this one a try. I haven’t had on a “girdle” in 30 years, so maybe I’ve just forgotten how it feels not to be able to breathe comfortably. I got a medium and after some gyrations and a bit of a learning curve, got it hooked up in front. It does give a nice curve to my waist, and I immediately measured 1 1/2 inches smaller
The down side is that I work at my computer, and I cannot sit for very long with this cincher on. I think part of the problem is that one size doesn’t fit all in length. It pushes my cleavage up where God never meant for it to be, because it’s long on me. A taller girl might have no problem. And because my waist is shorter, the narrow part extends up over my ribs, and it actually gets painful when I sit, and I find myself panting little short breaths. Also, there’s the issue of where the fluff goes when you squeeze it in. I was feeling pretty good, looking in the mirror, till I turned and saw the part bubbling over in back. That just would look scary with a fitted blouse on……..Also, the part I had hoped would be flattened, my abdomen, doesn’t seem to be affected at all by the cincher. It’s still a pouf, with or without it. I wouldn’t call it magical.
So, I’ll probably keep it, but I won’t be wearing it daily as I had planned. I was already planning to lose 5 pounds, and maybe then it will fit more comfortably, and I’ll probably wear it to some Holiday gatherings.

Makes me look like a i have a perfect hourglass figure

I love how this product makes me look in my clothes!!! its shapes me into a perfect hourglass! i dont know if the claim that it permanantley reduces your waist after 30 days is true because i havent had it that long. my only complaints are that it is a little too short, so i still have a small bulge over the top in vthe back and i think it may be stretching out as i wear it as oppossed to it shrinking me, but overall, it is the best shapewear i have ever purchased. i love it and would recommend it to anyone.

Great at first…not so good over time

Perhaps I got a bad one? A factory second? For the first 3-4 days I wore mine, it was great, just as advertised, helped me fit into those pants that are just a tiny bit too snug around the waist. I was very happy and it helped me concentrate on my posture, too, although it was very difficult to turn in the car seat when backing out of a parking space! However, I put it on today, and while my left side is all smooth and nicely held in, the support thing (bone or whatever) under my right breast seems to have lost all its firmness. My entire right front is pushing outwards on that, making a vertical bulge; whereas my left side is still firm and compressed. I don’t know what could be happening.

Great for getting your belly back postpartum

I started using this product 2 weeks postpartum to help with healing and because I heard a rumor that it helped flatten your tummy with continued use after having a baby. Anyway, I started with a medium and moved to a small at 5 weeks postartum. Currently I am almost 7 weeks postpartum and am moving towards having to wear the petite size. My stomach is completely flat and all my friends, neighbors, strangers can’t believe I was ever pregnant. Other than the healing and flattening, while wearing the product, it creates a very sexy hour-glass silhouette.
The only downside is that it starts to bunch up from sitting down, and you can’t get the wrinkles out. I’ve tried stretching the boning out. It helps a little, but there are still wrinkles. Because of these wrinkles, you can’t wear too tight of shirts, everything has to be a little loose-fitting. However, the pluses outweight the negatives, so I’m still going to give it 5 stars.
All-in-all, this is a great product, and I would recommend it to anyone.
